Brightening

I swear I’ve been here
before;

Seen this scene.

The frothy wake behind me
As it always is.

Distant, dark mountains rising
to the same gray clouds.

Same
Same
Same

But wait…

The warming sky
to the right,
More colorful than I recall.
Touches of pink and purple
Previously unperceived.

Brightening
Behind me
As I forge further ahead.

Further away.

Perhaps,
As I travel,
It will catch up to me.

    1. Right? Like I thought I was accidentally doing an old challenge at first. What? Another back end of the ferry picture?

      1. I do take a lot of those. 🙂

I’d like to have the opportunity to take even more. 😉
