Hevel

All things are wearisome;

הבל

no ish can express it
the ayin is not satisfied with seeing,
nor the ozen full with hearing.

The thing that hath been,
it is that which shall be;
that which is done

is that which shall be done;

nothing chadash under the shemesh.

sometimes poetry requires digging

dig away

Please. Dig.

I’ve given links.
Stop. Whining.

Please. Stop whining.

make it easier
make it faster
tell me what I should think

without.
thinking.

oversimplification
our curse

Please. Work. Harder.

The Pic and a Word Challenge is a weekly creativity prompt offered Mondays.

The challenge? Use the pic and/or word as points of inspiration to create something — a photograph, a painting, prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction, longread or just a few words. You are welcome to use these two elements (photograph and word) literally, thematically or metaphorically. If you create both images and words, all the better.

  2. <grin> “Please tell me what to think” often comes in tandem with, “Don’t tell me what to think.” Or, even worse, “I did what you said you did and it didn’t work out for me, and it’s all your fault.”
