Land of the Free?

Alas, the dream of freedom fades
You scoff and think I overstate
but then, some “freedoms” condone hate
our freedoms come in different shades
some, for others, make barricades
man marries man? Their “free” says “no”
can you not see how this is so?
“what the hell have you got to lose?”
I say plenty – your right to choose
don’t say next year you didn’t know.
