it’s certain to swallow us all,
this fearsome
potpourri
of prehistoric
fiction
from the future
undeterred,
she moves
inexorably,
insatiably,
forward.
matters not
what’s in her way
into her
cavernous
gullet everything goes.
Every.
Thing.
with any luck
we’ll be swallowed whole
and escape the pain
of slow death
by mastication
but serendipity
no longer
seems
to
be
on
our
side.
Crunch.
