I thought I’d hide here…
my
bright
yellow
plastic
Self.
By the
big
red
wall.
Still.
In my dark
Inner
corner.
surely, no one
willeverseemehere.
But sunshine
quietly crept
around
another
Outer
corner…
As sunshine does,
while the earth continues to revolve
in front of our star.
And now,
I’m found out ~
and brighter than ever
more beautiful than I dreamed I could be.

The Pic and a Word Challenge is (usually) a weekly creativity prompt offered Mondays.
Last week we squinted into the Bright. This week let’s bask in the Sunshine, or seek something else to inspire you in this photograph of a little yellow chair beside a red house in Vancouver, BC, Canada
And I had no idea German was the origin of “Olly Olly Oxen Free”!!

I learned it while writing. I love word and phrase origins, and I asked myself “Where the HECK did ‘Olly Olly Oxen Free’ come from?” Et voila.

Ahhh. Curiosity may kill the cat, but thoughtfully explored it expands the mind. 🙂
