When You Need a Little Nonsense

I don’t normally put Frank’s #FFFocus prompt/challenge at the top, but I thought it might be fun to see before you read what came of it:

A 6 word title, 3 sections of 42 words each, Include Bill Clinton and Douglas Adams and 3 types of pie

When you need a little nonsense
Douglas Adams hits the spot
Not familiar? How you’re missing!
Time to hitchhike – don’tgetcaught
Making sense yet? Gee, I hope not
That’s the point here after all
Simply counting, writing, wording
While I’ve got you inmythrall

Think I’m cheatingbycombining?
I don’t care much – plainly see
Like Bill Clinton with Lewinsky
I can bend the rules for me
(myself)
PeCAN, peCAHN, PEE-CAN pie
Is that three types or one?
Doesn’t matter – I’m the writer
I can do whatever’s fun.

Bending guidelines – “normal” challenged
Eating pumpkin pie all night
Or the apple pie at morning
Now the “challenge” is aright
Am I bending? Made it straight now?
Insert gay joke here at will
All is fluid (one more sex joke!)
Finish now…

That was a thrill.

About #FFFocus:

Frank Chloupek holds a PhD in Physics from The Ohio State University. We have been friends since our undergraduate days at Michigan State University over 30 years ago.

Frank hates poetry

(except for any and all Limericks about a certain boy from Nantucket).

He provides challenges, topics, themes, rules to guide whatever gets put together on Fridays.

If you would like to join the weekly challenge, feel free! Just reference “Frank’s Friday Focus” (#FFFocus) on your own page, provide a pingback (paste the URL link someplace in your post) to this page, and copy/paste the link to your entry into the comment section below.

Thanks, and have fun!
