defying atrophy

Divine

I used to think
Divinity hid
behind clouds,

and
Capriciously
Revealed
Themselves as a
Good-ish
God

If They weren’t feeling
peevish
or
petty.

Now
I know the clouds
themselves
are
Divine,

as is
everything else
above
and
beneath,

Both
the Sunlit
and the Shaded.

This earth indeed is the very Body of God, and it is from this body that we are born, live, suffer, and resurrect to eternal life. Either all is God’s Great Project, or we may rightly wonder whether anything is.

    🙂 We are of similar mind, as seems to be the rule, though… Raised in a Catholic household, I was the silent heretic for as long as I can remember. It came as quite a shock to my devout mother when I returned from my first year of university and refused to attend church on Sunday.

    It took a long time to find my way to something approaching a spiritual connection to existence.

      I’m still in active deconstruction, but I maintain a faith in “something” spiritual and am trying to figure out what that “looks” like.
