elusive

unbelievable
inconceivable
irretrievable

I find myself here
waiting and watching
so wildly for words
of wisdom and wit
wondering where in the world
will I wander to find them?

oh, I know
they are out there
somewhere
down deep in the dark
or beaming like beacons
in the brightest of blue, blue skies

but today
they elude

and so
I rest.
