halo-ringed

Someday clouds will part
Maybe not this week or next
Hope does not desert

Deserted – never
Sun still shines beyond the clouds
Some days just hidden

Or hidden for months
There is Seattle, you know
But when it shines… Oh!

We wait for the “Oh!”
Because what else can we do?
Pictures remind us

Remind us of life
Of mountaintops’ crisp, clean air
Of halo-ringed sun.

Halo-ringed with Hope
Expanding past what is there
More than meets the eye
This is the essence of hope
Vistas unshrouded by light

I went back and used an old pixtowords.com challenge today. Patrick must be having a week like mine…

HOPE ~ PIC AND A WORD CHALLENGE #259

The Pic and a Word Challenge is (usually) a weekly creativity prompt offered Mondays.
