The Ageless Song – Sonnet XXXII

It seems the Sonnet Scares most folk away;
Evoking Bard perhaps the Reason Why?
While William’s verse to some is clear as day,
To others, well, I guess they’d Sooner Die.
I cannot force a “Like” from those who Hate,
But still I wish they’d give the Form a try.
For 1600 is no more the date,
And Wording changes while the Structure’s Spry.
Yet even saying such will Steer you Wrong,
As Shakespeare’s Substance resonates This Year.
The Lyrics change but still The Ageless Song;
Enjoy Pentameter and sing – No Fear.
For Fear just serves to keep us in The Dark;
Embrace the Verse and on New Paths embark.
