old news
used to be a “thing”
we’d say
I guess we still do,
only now it just means
yesterday.
The news cycle spins
faster than my Maytag
squeezing
rinse water
from my fresh-smelling
clothes
which will stink tomorrow.
wash, rinse, repeat.
the new old
is making me dizzy
and I want to get off
this ride.
