MOUNTAIN of a molehill?

I look above
Assess my climb
Looks difficult to scale

One lone tree
A crag or three
Not much to aid ascent

The dirty glacial snow and ice
Will add to
Problems present

I think I may abort the climb;
I’ll never reach the top.

I bet that apex ain’t so grand
At least I’ll tell myself
This “truth”
And ease the sting of fail to scale

What’s that you say?
I’ve been misled?
There’s nothing here to climb?

Instead of mountain
One small stone
The camera played a trick

The tree a twig
The snow – mirage
No need to scale
No need to fail

Just need to “scale” aright
And
See
What’s
Really
There.
