Necessary Irritants

Spring has sprung.
Mid-April is best.

CAN be the best.

Today,
I see nothing
but pollen on cars.

Through my isochronous
Goopy
Eyes.

Then there is
The Stuffy Nose

And the concomitant
Neurotic Need
to wash the vehicles

Repeatedly.

Wash.

Repeatedly.

Wash the Vehicles
Repeatedly.

GOOD LORD –
IT JUST KEEPS COMING.

Must continually remind myself –

Pollen means New Life.

Eventually.

And all the
Necessary Irritants
that come with it.

#NaPoWriMo – Day Thirteen

I found no foothold with this prompt, so I’m not following it. Still, I’ll include it here for posterity…

And now, on to our (optional) prompt. Today’s prompt comes from the Instagram account of Sundress Publications, which posts a writing prompt every day, all year long. This one is short and sweet: write a poem in the form of a news article you wish would come out tomorrow.
