Sonnets
It’s funny, I put the word “Sonnet” in the title, and automatically fewer people view/read it, like it’s going to be some sort of “academic” chore to even click the link. It’s unfortunate, because while these are among some of my least read stuff, I am easily most proud of many of these. It’s a wonderful form, and I think I keep getting better at it.

The day which marks our freedom dawns anew, but just what freedom’s for is in dispute.

Sonnet XXV – better love for you
when I focus on myself, not others, the benefits flow to sons and mothers.

Sonnet XXIV – Perfect Pain
I know it lies with me to find my cure; Won’t please the masses – never perfect be.

Sonnet XXIII – The Map a River Makes
And now, behold, the deluge comes anon; containers burst and none can stand the wash.

Sonnet XXII – adieu to much ado
I’ve heard that stupid is as stupid does; so I am done with “doing” stupid now.

Sonnet XXI – moons will be
CONTROL is my Achilles’ heel, you see; I like to think that I can call the moon.

Sonnet XX – Switching Sides?
So Sides I Switch – “Solutioning” right now; At least until my strength begins to wane.

This Life was meant for All to find their Play

Sonnet XVIII – Fear Not the Poet
Fear not the poet’s cryptic form or rhyme.

Gazing the navel will skew what is true.

That day shall come, too soon , notfastenough;

to know thyself above all else is wise, but wisdom wields a pain that burns like fire

Sonnet XIV – Close to the Wind
a proud sight beheld, from stern to the prow.

Perhaps it’s in the dimming gloam we’re best.

Sonnet X – night blindness
The thing most true was never true for me / until one day it dawned and ended night.

Sonnet IX – Presence
The ache which seems will never go away, one day shall flee like so much cloud and mist.

Sonnet VIII – labor pains?
Tools abound to fix what mends are needed.
